    Overview

The Public Utilities Office is currently consulting on the proposed implementation approach required to adopt a framework of constrained access for Western Power’s electricity network in the South West Interconnected System.

    Consultation papers

On 1 October 2018, the Public Utilities Office released EY’s Report – Modelling the Impacts of Constrained Network Access. This report presents the results of wholesale electricity market modelling to estimate the impact of constrained network access.

EY’s Report updates the results presented in the Consultation Paper on the proposed approach to implement constrained access released on 9 August 2018.

A short Information Paper below outlines the updated results and describes the reason for the difference.

EY’s Modelling Report can be found below.

To allow stakeholders more time to consider the modelling results, the Public Utilities Office invites submissions to its Consultation Paper by 12 October 2018.  The Public Utilities Office will also accept further submissions from stakeholders that have already responded to the Consultation Paper.

The slides from the industry forum held on Friday, 3 August 2018 is available below.
