The Regulatory Reform team works to raise living standards in Western Australia by improving the outcomes regulatory and other economic reforms can deliver to the community. In particular, it supports the Government in reforming regulation and reducing barriers to entrepreneurial activity to support employment, encourage investment and diversify the economy.

This is in addition to leading reforms in some areas. For example, the Regulatory Reform team is currently undertaking a Review of the Western Australia Rail Access Regime and is also in the process of developing regulations for the Economic Regulation Authority to recover costs associated with its administration of the Rail Access Regime.
