• Achieving Work-Life Balance

    Flexible Working Practices

Treasury offers a range of flexible work arrangements to enable employees to more effectively balance work and life commitments. Flexible working practices are subject to supervisor approval and work/operational needs.

    • Flexible start and finish times between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday
    • Accrued time off (‘flexi-leave’) once hours have been accrued
    • Part-time employment - employment at less than the prescribed 37.5 hours week
    • Job Sharing - where one job is shared between ‘part time’ employees
    •  Home-based work - employees work from home, subject to operational requirements

    Social Clubs

Another way Treasury aims to make the workplace fun and flexible is through their social club, which provides services and organised functions for all members. The social clubs provide a large variety of events, for all age groups, as well as discounts throughout the year. So there is always something available for everybody. Memberships are open to all Treasury staff, including their family and friends as well as Associate Memberships to other agencies.

    Employee Assistance Program

All employees and their immediate families have access to our Employee Assistance Program for independent and confidential counselling. This service provides short-term counselling to assist in managing personal and work-related problems more effectively.

    Community Involvement Development Program

Employees are provided the opportunity to be paid for participating in two full days' work with a community-based organisation. There is also the opportunity to get involved in community fundraising events.

    Fitness Programs

Yoga, pilates and get-fit classes are run in the 140 William Street Building, and is available to all Treasury employees.
